F/V Pacific Cloud

The F/V *Pacific Cloud* is the boat at the center of the company. Captained by founder Ryan Horwath, she works longline, pot, and jig gear out of Kodiak from spring through fall — halibut and sablefish on the longline grounds, Tanner crab in the winter pot fishery, and sockeye through the late-summer Gulf return.

Pacific Cloud is small enough that the captain handles every fish that comes over the rail. Bleeding, slurry-chilling, gilling, and sizing all happen on deck within minutes of the haul. That single discipline — and the fact that the same person who sells the fish is also the one who landed it — is the whole reason this company exists.
